Necklace
A lyrical green, mauve, and bronze necklace where branching forms surround a small floral scene and pearl-like drops.
Read the storyFrom the late 18th century a new intellectual and cultural movement called Romanticism had emerged as a sentimental and impassioned counterpart to the rational pragmatism of the industrial revolution. Poets, writers, and composers created masterpieces emphasizing the emotional experience. One of them was Edvard Grieg, a Norwegian composer. Through his lyrical music he expressed the beauty of nature as probably no other composer had ever managed before him. In this work I tried to capture “Morning Mood”, one of the best pieces created by Grieg. The music reveals a beautiful morning time when birds awake and start chirping in the woods. When the sun rises, woods and forests become pink and magical, the birds with their beautiful songs give birth to a new day, declaring that the light has won against the darkness once again.
